Chinese Culture Center hosts a cultural exchange & special sharing with Hong Kong-based Sandy Chan, a highly innovative and experienced community arts practitioner, “alternative” curator, art educator, and more, whose participatory practice specializes in cultivating youth movements, neighborhoods, and engaging rural/urban communities. As an Asian Cultural Council Fellow, CCC is currently hosting Sandy’s research on Bay Area community arts for three months!

With her background as a social worker, Sandy Chan spearheaded the award-winning YMCArts in Education Project in HK. A natural communicator and bridge builder, her community projects incorporate art to empower youth and engage with the community.

Join for a presentation of her work, followed by a discussion session on March 26, Saturday 1 – 3 PM at the CCC gallery. To ensure safety during the sharing, proof of vaccination, a valid ID and masks are required. We highly recommend RSVPing to ensure a seat at the talk!
