ACAW FIELD MEETING Take 4: Thinking Practice

When 11 Nov 2016 - 12 Nov 2016
Where Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum & Asia Society

Friday, November 11 & Saturday, November 12, 10 AM – 6 PM

Asia Contemporary Art Week 2016 (ACAW) 2016 signature forum, FIELD MEETING Take 4: Thinking Practice, will be held at Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum & Asia Society New York on November 11 & 12.

Over a two-day period, 30 artists, scholars, and curators from Asia and beyond present their works in an experimental realm whereby new materials, concepts, and projects are tested and reflected upon collectively. FIELD MEETING emulates the experience of a studio visit on a communal scale, dedicated to showcasing significant and compelling creative projects through newly-conceived performances, lecture-performances, and lively discussions. Thinking Practice is therefore an inquiry into ongoing processes, research-based methodologies, spanning multiple mediums and disciplines to explore individual and collective experience with much greater nuance.

Space is limited and RSVP is required. Registration is open with reasonably priced ticketing for students, artists & arts professionals, and general attendees, visit: https://field-meeting-thinking-practice.eventbrite.com
