Jordan Albaugh, Azi Amiri, Nathaniel Axel, Cheryl Bentley, Don Edler, Samantha Fretwell, Megha Mattoo, Lauren Klenow, Tyson Robertson and Yi Xin Tong are all cosmophagic—ravenous devourers of the world. Their seemingly endless appetites for ideas and experiences move them to create art, their practices and constantly refine their crafts. In the multidisciplinary MFA program at NYU, the boundaries between media are blurred and erased; painters, sculptors, photographers, video and installation artists are given the full range of territories to traverse, explore and eat from. Thrown into conversation together for the past two years, these ten artists have supported, pushed and shaped each other, working together so that each could eventually stake his or her own claim.” – Jennifer Krasinski
