Translated by Moeun Chhean Nariddh, this book is written by Cambodian artist Vann Nath who was one of the few survivors of the secret prison ‘S-21′ during the Khmer Rouge regime in the 1970s. Through his words and paintings, the artist tells the story of his one-year experience in the prison. This book stands as a testimony to the horrors of Pol Pot’s Cambodia.
