This catalogue was published on the occasion of ‘Mute – Zhang Peili’s Solo Exhibition’ held at OCT Contemporary Art Terminal, Shenzhen in 2008. ‘Mute’ is Zhang’s second large-scale video and installation work following ‘Gust of Wind’ which was created for and exhibited at Boers-Li Gallery in April 2008. Early and mid-career works by the artist are also featured in the exhibition. The present catalogue includes work produced by Zhang from 1985 to 2008.
