Jung Jungyeob (정정엽)
This recently published monograph assembles paintings and drawings created by South Korean feminist artist Jung Jungyeob during her career of more than thirty years.
“I wanted to put more emphasis on women and their potentialities not only in South Korea but in Asia in general. From this point of view, my artistic interests have been in everyday objects and women’s work, which are invisible under the patriarchal society. When I looked at my daily life with the eyes of a woman, I saw grain and red beans.” – Jung Jungyeob
