|Editor:||Amna Tirmizi Naqvi, Colleen Williams|
‘Portraits & Vortexes’ is an exhibition by Pakistan’s leading contemporary miniaturists, Aisha Khalid and Imran Qureshi. ‘Khalid’s collection for this exhibition creates the optical illusion of depth and seductively entices the viewer in. Painting with vivid blue, blood red and camouflage greens, the hypnotizing repetition of her style appears almost like digitally generated imagery. The present monograph published on the occasion of the above-mentioned exhibition also features Khalid’s miniature albums. Artist biography is provided.
