Geeta Kapur is a pre-eminent Delhi-based art critic, theorist and curator. She has been the leading voice of art theory and criticism in the Indian subcontinent for the past four decades, and is a seminal thinker on questions of globalization and internationalism in relation to contemporary art. Kapur’s writings include widely anthologized essays concerned with global modernisms, national paradigms, feminist and postcolonial theory, cultures of curating, exhibiting, and the avant-garde, and cinema and documentary film.
