As part of the group show, “The String and the Mirror,” organized by Lawrence Kumpf and Justin Lake, Hong-Kai Wang will present a special performance titled The Musical Condition of Reasonable Conspiracy. A phone interview between herself and the Australian composer Chris Mann on “composer’s conspiracy” is transcribed into a script reenacted by two theatrical performers. Two New York-based composers (Marina Rosenfeld and C. Spencer Yeh) intervene/contribute to the scripted conversation as they see fit. Participants include Jim Fletcher, Rosie Goldensohn, Marina Rosenfeld, and C. Spencer Yeh.
