Where | MOCA 215 Centre St New York, NY 10013 United States |
Photographer Cindy Trinh joins us to present her photo essay through slides portraying Asian Americans working in low-wage service jobs. Asian Americans are often stereotyped to be the “model minority” because they are viewed as highly educated and hold professional jobs. However, this is not true for many Asian Americans working as street vendors, nail salon workers, store clerks, cooks, and more.
A Q&A to follow slide show presentation.
Tickets are $10 and include Museum general admission. Members receive complimentary tickets.
