Now in our 4th year, we bring you the latest and greatest Filipino cinema. Though not as well known as it deserves to be, the independent cinema of the Philippines is remarkably vibrant and creative. Like the country itself, which is made up of thousands of little islands, each with its own culture, dialect, and people, this showcase provides a snapshot of the huge range of talent in Filipino cinema today. All films are shown digitally, in their original language with English subtitles.
New this year, select titles will be repeated the second weekend. Now you don’t have to cram everything into a few days! Don’t forget to vote for the audience’s favorite film award!
Opening Reception: Thu, Jun 11, 6 PM
Closing Reception: Sun, Jun 14, 6 PM
Curated by Philbert Ortiz Dy & Joel Shepard
Co-sponsored by Filipino American Arts Exposition & FACINE
