Press Release:

This August, the Corcoran Gallery of Art and College of Art + Design presents Transient, an exhibition of video-based artworks focusing on themes of change on view in Gallery 31, the Corcoran’s dedicated free exhibition space. Transient will feature works ranging from the abstract to documentary, from irreverent to the serious, each taking advantage of the fleeting, temporal nature of video to illustrate transience in the human condition.

The exhibition will feature works by local, national, and international artists, including Forest Allread (Corcoran alumni), Josh Bricker, William A. Brown, Alfred Dong, Brett Dougherty, Benjamin Funke, Jennifer Steensma Hoag, Whitney Lynn, Christopher McNulty, Peter Nelson, Chee Wang Ng, Mary Overman, Ruthless Animals (Lauren Ruth and Ann Gaziano), Jordan Swartz (Corcoran alumni), Claudia X. Valdes, and Tucker Walsh, current Corcoran College of Art + Design student.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information please click here.
