Until Now is a group show including artists who have challenged and altered the direction of visual art over the past five decades. Featuring paintings, sculpture, installations, photography, graphic art, design, video, and other new media, Until Now hopes to provide a fresh vision of international art made during the past fifty years.
Artists in show include Mequitta Ahuja, Doug Aitken, Siah Armajani, Rebecca Belmore, Ross Bleckner, Michael Borremans, Zhang Huan, Yayoi Kusama, Yoshitomo Nara, Takashi Murakami and MOna Hatoum, to name a few.
This exhibition is organized by Elizabeth Armstrong, MIA’s curator of contemporary art and assistant director of exhibitions and programs. It will be shown in conjunction with ‘Art ReMix’ – a show of contemporary juxtapositions from the collection.
