As part of MOCA’s Curators in Conversation series, MOCA Curator & Director of Exhibitions Herb Tam and Jane DeBevoise of Asia Art Archive welcome Xiaoyu Weng, Associate Curator at the Guggenheim Museum, to discuss curatorial practices across San Francisco, Paris, and New York City, and her current exhibition at the Guggenheim, One Hand Clapping.
Appointed The Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Associate Curator of Chinese Art in 2015, charged with implementing The Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Chinese Art Initiative, Xiaoyu Weng has co-curated the exhibition Tales of Our Time (2016-17). Her current exhibition One Hand Clapping will be on view at the museum from May 4 – October 21, 2018. Previously, she served as the founding director of the Kadist Art Foundation’s Asia Programs, Paris and San Francisco.
