Update regarding COVID-19 | Learning from Home with AAA-A

March 13, 2020

43 Remsen St. Brooklyn, NY

To AAAinA Friends,

In order to support New York City’s effort to contain the spread of COVID-19, Asia Art Archive in America temporarily closed its office in Brooklyn beginning on  Friday, March 13th, until further notice. During this time, the AAAinA team continued to work remotely and could be contacted by email. General inquiries should be directed to us at info@aaa-a.org.

Please check our website and social media for further updates and program announcements. We look forward to reopening as soon as it is deemed safe for our staff and community. In the meantime, the circulation of knowledge does not have to stop! We invite you to use this time of “social distancing” to explore our collection of online resources that can be accessed and explored anytime, anywhere.

AAA’s Research Collections comprise material gathered from focused research projects undertaken in partnership with artists, art professionals, and researchers, and much of which is fully available to view online. Additionally, many of our past programs and public talks (as well as AAA in HK’s) have been recorded and/or transcribed and can be viewed on our website.

And if you’re looking for a good book recommendation, AAA has been compiling a booklist over the past few years as part of our ongoing ’Under the Influence: A Traveling Library of Books that Inspire Artists‘ series. We also invited the artists Jaishri Abichandani and Jean Shin to contribute a selection of titles to this growing list during our recent Art+Feminism edit-a-thon. We hope their recommendations inspire you too!

Wishing everyone well during this time. Please take care!

The AAAinA Team
