On October 15, 2025, at 1:00 PM, Haruka Motohashi’s film There Tokyo will be shown at Cinema Village. There Tokyo is an autobiographical documentary that centers around the director herself, a Japan-born expatriate, returning to Tokyo to visit her estranged and now ailing mother. There Tokyo was created as part of a trilogy that contemplates ideas of yearning, home, and being expatriate.
