AAAinA maintains a non-circulating Reading Room collection that is open to the public free of charge. This collection comprises over 5000 monographs, exhibition catalogues, reference books, periodicals, and audio-visual materials about contemporary art from and of Asia. The Reading Room also serves as an onsite access point to the over 55,000 digitized records of primary source material from AAA’s digital research collection, including photographs, letters, writing, ephemera, and video documentation.
The Reading Room is open to the public Tuesdays through Fridays, 10:00am-5:00pm and by appointment on Mondays. We are happy to receive walk-in readers and researchers; however, we recommend you reserve a time by emailing info@aaa-a.org to ensure that a staff member will be available to assist you. In your message, please include any specific books that you are interested in looking at, if any, as well as a general time frame for your visit.
Wi-Fi, a scanner, and a photocopier are available. Search through our Reading Room collection’s online catalog via keyword, author, or artist below:
