Liminal Figures is an anthology of interviews with fifteen artists and collectives whose practices unfold across shifting cultural, geographic, and linguistic contexts. Co-published by GYOPO and The Floorplan, the book focuses on how artistic practices operate within conditions of movement, translation, and various forms of belonging.

Featured artists include Jesse Chun, Johanna Hedva, Skye Jin, Lotus L. Kang, Cindy Ji Hye Kim, YoungEun Kim, HaeAhn Paul Kwon Kajander, Heesoo Kwon, Hyeok Lee, Jeewi Lee, Maia Ruth Lee, Na Mira, Gala Porras-Kim, TJ Shin in conversation with Summer Kim Lee, and Rachel Youn. The book ends with a poetic text by Diana SeoHyung.

Developed as a continuation of the inquiry begun with K-Artists (2023), the publication examines how liminality is produced through artistic practice—across language, materials, institutional structures, and lived experience. Through in-depth conversations conducted between 2024 and 2026, the book traces how mobility, hybridity, and belonging are negotiated as ongoing conditions rather than fixed positions.

Liminality here is not a state to be described, but a mode of working—one that holds open the possibility of thinking, sensing, and relating otherwise.
