On Echoes of Invisible Hearts, Narratives of Yemeni Displacement documents the work of six artists, curated by Lila Nazemian, as a commentary on the political, social, and cultural landscape of Yemen. It weaves together a variety of mediums including photography, sculpture, and collage, contextualizing these artistic endeavors with underlying larger themes related to the region and its diaspora. Moreover, the personal formations and processes of the artists are highlighted to show a variety of relationships with Yemen, revolving around nostalgia, political critique, strife, and optimism.
