A new exhibition at the Godwin-Ternbach Museum at Queens College will explore the intersection of art and sport through the work of contemporary Asian and Asian American artists. Opening on Tuesday, February 10, at 6 pm, with a free, public reception, LEGENDS: Athleticism in Asian/American Art is believed to be the first such exhibition to connect these themes. The exhibition, which runs through Thursday, May 14, will examine how artists of Asian descent engage with the concepts of art and sport to reflect identity, nationalism, gender, the body, spectatorship, and performance through such mediums as painting, installation, fashion, and video.

The exhibition is free and open to the public from February 10 – May 14, 2026. Hours are 10am to 4pm, Monday through Thursdays, and two Saturdays per month 11am to 4pm.
