Krishna Reddy: Heaven in a Wildflower

Krishna Reddy: Heaven in a Wildflower exhibition poster—abstract print in blue, black and red, Print Center NY.

Krishna Reddy: Heaven in a Wildflower is the first monographic exhibition in New York on the late Indian artist Krishna Reddy in over 40 years. The exhibition is curated by Sarah Burney in collaboration with an advisory committee of Reddy’s close colleagues and will run from January 23–May 21, 2025 in Print Center New York’s Jordan Schnitzer Gallery. Heaven in a Wildflower brings together over 50 prints alongside key sculptures, ephemera, and working materials on loan from the artist’s estate in order to demonstrate Reddy’s material and conceptual approach to the groundbreaking viscosity printmaking technique he developed in the 1950s and 60s.

The exhibition is accompanied by an illustrated catalog of works on view. The publication features original essays by Sarah Burney, the exhibition curator, and Mark Johnson, a printmaker and professor at New York University who worked closely with Krishna Reddy, as well as Reddy’s own 1998 essay “Art Expression as a Learning Process.”
