The 47th Asian American International Film Festival runs from August 1-11, 2024 and features a captivating array of films that delve into themes of love, relationships, and grief. The festival opens with a screening of Nobuko Miyamoto: A Song in Movement (directed by Tadashi Nakamura and Quyên Nguyen-Le) and closes with The Queen of My Dreams (directed by Fawzia Mirza), for which A/P/A Institute is a community partner.
In addition to in-person and virtual screenings, the festival will feature panels, receptions, and VIP events, providing unique opportunities to connect with industry professionals and fellow film enthusiasts.
Established in 1978 by Asian CineVision, the Asian American International Film Festival is the nation’s first and longest running festival of its kind and the premier showcase for the best independent Asian, Asian diaspora, and Pacific Islander cinema.
