Prepared by Shi Jin-Hua Estate in 2026, this volume of selected works brings together twenty works created between 1994 and 2024, together with a selected exhibition history.

Spanning three decades of conceptual and performance practice, the dossier traces Shi Jin-Hua’s transformation of lived experience, bodily discipline, and spiritual inquiry into a distinctive artistic language. Featured works from Pencil Walker, the Pen Walking series, Clothing Project, Six-Syllable Mantra, and Ink Walking illuminate his sustained engagement with time, measurement, movement, the body, and existence.

The dossier offers an introduction to Shi Jin-Hua’s artistic development and the central concerns that shaped his practice. Together, these works and exhibitions trace how one of Taiwan’s most prominent artists of the twenty-first century used the rigor of sustained practice to engage with fundamental questions of life, impermanence, and spirituality.
